He started his private banking career in 1983. Prior to Deutsche Bank he was with Bank Vontobel and Credit Suisse and relocated to Singapore in 2001. At Vontobel and Credit Suisse he held positions in relationship management, business and financial planning as well as training and development.
Dr. Mario A. Bassi joined Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management (PWM) in 2005 as Head Strategy & Business Development for Southeast Asia. His key responsibilities included business strategy and sales development. His role evolved in 2007 when he took over the responsibility for Strategy & Business Development and Marketing & Communications teams in Asia Pacific. He was a Member of the Management Committee in PWM.
Dr. Mario A. Bassi has a PhD in Law from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He holds a Federal Diploma for Expert in Finance and Investments (AZEK) and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), both from Switzerland. More recently, he attained the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
